Description

Chili Lime Shrimp is a quick and flavorful dish that bursts with zesty lime and spicy chili notes, perfect for weeknight dinners or entertaining guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 fresh limes (juiced and zested)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, lime zest, chili powder, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Add shrimp and toss to coat well. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pinkish-orange and opaque.
  4. Remove from heat and toss with chopped cilantro and additional lime juice if desired.
  5. Serve immediately with rice or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add diced jalapeños along with the marinade.
  • Substitute shrimp with chicken breast or fish fillets for variations.
