- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 1 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup ketchup (divided)
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Sauté diced onions in a pan over medium heat until translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in garlic powder.
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, sautéed onions and garlic, Worcestershire sauce, half of the ketchup, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf on a baking sheet or in a loaf pan.
- Spread the remaining ketchup over the top of the meatloaf for glazing.
- Bake for about 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Let rest before slicing.

- For added flavor, consider incorporating chopped bell peppers or mushrooms into the mixture.
- You can substitute breadcrumbs with rolled oats for a healthier twist.
