Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup hot honey sauce (honey mixed with chili flakes)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 4 soft burger buns
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- Cooking oil (canola or vegetable)
Instructions
- Wash and pat dry the chicken breasts. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Dredge each piece of chicken in flour until fully coated, shaking off excess.
- Heat about half an inch of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Fry the chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
- Assemble the sandwiches by spreading hot honey sauce on both sides of the buns. Layer with lettuce, tomato, and crispy chicken. Drizzle with more hot honey if desired.
Notes
- Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes for enhanced flavor.
- Swap mayonnaise for avocado spread or add pickles for extra crunch.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days; reheat in an oven for best results.
