Description
Strawberry shortcake cheesecake rolls are a delightful treat that combines creamy cheesecake and fresh strawberries in a fun, easy-to-make dessert. Perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 store-bought cake roll or sponge cake (about 10 oz)
- Powdered sugar for dusting
- Whipped cream for serving
Instructions
- Wash and hull the strawberries, then slice them thinly. Sprinkle with sugar to enhance sweetness.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Lay the cake roll or sponge cake flat on a clean surface. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over it and sprinkle sliced strawberries on top.
- Carefully roll the cake tightly from one end to another. If it cracks slightly, don’t worry; it will still taste delicious!
- Wrap the rolled cake in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour to firm up.
- Once chilled, remove from wrap and slice into even pieces. Dust with powdered sugar before serving and add whipped cream if desired.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider adding lemon zest to the cream cheese mixture.
- You can substitute strawberries with blueberries or raspberries for variety.
