  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, honey or agave syrup, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.
  2. Fold in chopped parsley or cilantro until well mixed.
  3. Place the shrimp in a large resealable bag or bowl and pour the marinade over them. Ensure all shrimp are well-coated.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours for best flavor).
  5. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated shrimp in a single layer.
  6. Cook each side for about 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque; avoid overcooking.
