- 1 large egg
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 2 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 3 tbsp cold water (for thickening)
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, and egg. Mix until just combined.
- Roll the mixture into golf-ball-sized meatballs and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook meatballs for about 8-10 minutes until browned on all sides and cooked through (internal temperature of 160°F).
- Remove meatballs and set aside. In the same skillet, add beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- Whisk together cornstarch with cold water until smooth; stir into simmering broth until thickened (3-5 minutes).
- Return meatballs to the skillet, coat in gravy, and warm through for an additional 5 minutes before serving.
