- 2 fresh peaches, sliced
- 4 black tea bags
- ½ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 4 cups filtered water
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Boil 4 cups of filtered water in a medium saucepan. Remove from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Steep for 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in ½ cup granulated sugar while the tea is warm until dissolved. Let the mixture cool to room temperature.
- In a bowl, combine sliced peaches with 2 tablespoons lemon juice and a sprinkle of sugar. Allow to sit for 10-15 minutes until juicy.
- Mix the cooled tea with the peach slices and their juices in a large pitcher. Stir gently.
- Refrigerate for at least an hour to allow flavors to meld.
- Serve over ice, garnished with additional peach slices or fresh mint if desired.
