Description
Classic Summer Lemonade is the perfect thirst-quencher for sunny days, blending zesty lemons and sugar into a refreshing beverage that will brighten any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 cups filtered cold water
- Ice cubes (as needed)
- Fresh mint leaves (optional)
Instructions
- Juice the lemons until you have 1 cup of fresh lemon juice. Rolling them on the countertop before cutting helps increase juice yield.
- In a pitcher, mix 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup of warm water, stirring until fully dissolved to create a simple syrup.
- Combine the lemon juice with the sugar mixture in the pitcher, then add 3 cups of cold water. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour in the lemonade. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing taste!
Notes
- For a unique twist, consider adding berries or using honey as a sweetener.
- Store leftover lemonade in a sealed container in the fridge for up to five days. Stir well before serving.
