Description

Mongolian Beef Noodles is a quick, satisfying dish featuring tender beef and savory noodles that make for a perfect weeknight dinner or gathering with friends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 8 oz wide rice or egg noodles
  • 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 4 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Slice flank steak thinly against the grain. Mince garlic and ginger; prepare green onions for garnish.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook flank steak in batches until browned (3-4 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté garlic and ginger in the same skillet for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil; pour over the sautéed aromatics.
  5. Add cooked noodles and green onions to the skillet. Toss everything together until well-coated with sauce and heated through.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.

Notes

  • For added crunch, consider including vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas.
  •  Replace beef with chicken or tofu for variations.
