Description

Miso Glazed Fish is a deliciously simple dish that combines tender fish fillets with a rich, umami-packed miso glaze, perfect for impressing guests or enjoying on a weeknight.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (6 oz) fresh fish fillets (salmon or cod)
  • 3 tablespoons white miso paste
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Chopped green onions for garnish
  • Toasted sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together miso paste, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil until smooth.
  2. Place fish fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the marinated fillets skin-side down. Bake for 12-15 minutes until fish flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Remove from the oven, drizzle with additional sesame oil, and sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • For an added kick, consider incorporating ginger or garlic into the marinade.
  • Feel free to swap out fish varieties such as trout for different flavors.
