Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together heavy cream and whole milk until smooth.
  2. Gradually add granulated sugar, whisking until completely dissolved.
  3. Stir in pure vanilla extract and salt.
  4. Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to chill.
  5. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (about 20-25 minutes).
  6. Add your choice of mix-ins in the last few minutes of churning.
  7. Transfer the ice cream to a lidded container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
