Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (15.25 oz)
  • 1 cup whipped topping (thawed)
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
  • ½ cup caramel sauce
  • ½ cup chocolate syrup
  • ½ cup chocolate shavings or chips for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to package instructions for the chocolate cake mix. Grease two round baking pans with non-stick spray.
  2. Pour the batter evenly into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  3. Allow cakes to cool in pans for about 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
  4. Once cooled, slice each cake horizontally into two layers using a serrated knife.
  5. Place one layer on a serving platter, drizzle half of the sweetened condensed milk followed by half of the whipped topping. Repeat with remaining layers.
  6. Drizzle caramel sauce and chocolate syrup over the top, then sprinkle with chocolate shavings or chips.
