Description

Savor the delightful blend of sweet honey and savory sesame oil in this quick and delicious honey sesame chicken—perfect for busy weeknights!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless chicken thighs, chopped
  • 1/2 cup pure honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Chop the boneless chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces for even cooking.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil until well combined.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces in batches, searing until golden brown on all sides (about 5–7 minutes).
  4. Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken, stirring to coat evenly. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes or until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
  6. Serve hot over rice or alongside stir-fried vegetables.

Notes

  • For added crunch and color, incorporate bell peppers or snap peas during cooking.
  •  Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of honey to suit your taste.
