Description

Honey Mustard Chicken is a quick and flavorful dish that combines sweet and tangy notes, perfect for busy weeknights or special gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (1.5 lbs)
  • 1/2 cup pure honey
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the chicken breasts under cold water and pat dry. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and olive oil until smooth.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a drizzle of olive oil. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  4. Pour the honey mustard sauce over the seared chicken in the skillet and allow it to simmer gently for around 10 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. If desired, sprinkle fresh herbs over the top before serving.

Notes

  • Marinate the chicken in the honey mustard mixture for at least 30 minutes to enhance flavor.
  • Swap honey for maple syrup for a unique twist.
  •  Serve with roasted vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
