Instructions
- Activate the yeast: Warm milk to lukewarm, sprinkle in yeast and sugar; let sit until frothy (5-10 minutes).
- Create dough: In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla. Add the yeast mixture; stir until a rough dough forms.
- Knead dough: Transfer to a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and stretchy.
- First rise: Place in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let rise in a warm place until doubled (about an hour).
- Shape buns: Roll out dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar, roll tightly into a log, and slice into 12 pieces.
- Second rise: Arrange slices on a greased pan; cover and let rise until puffy (about 30 minutes).
- Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Glaze: Whisk powdered sugar with milk; drizzle generously over warm buns before serving.
