Description

Grilled Cedar Plank Salmon is a flavorful dish that combines fresh ingredients with smoky aromas, ideal for Memorial Day celebrations and summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1 cedar plank
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (extra virgin)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill or parsley (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Soak the cedar plank in water for at least one hour before grilling.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and herbs until well combined.
  3. Place salmon fillets skin-side down on a plate and brush generously with the marinade. Let marinate for about 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (around 375°F) and ensure grates are clean and lightly oiled.
  5. Place the soaked cedar plank on the grill grates and close the lid until it starts smoking (approximately 5 minutes).
  6. Place the marinated salmon fillets on top of the plank skin-side down. Close the lid and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
