- Distribute batter evenly into prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow cakes to cool completely on wire racks.
- For frosting, combine egg yolks, butter, sugar, milk, coconut flakes, and pecans in a saucepan over medium heat; stir constantly until thickened.
