- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2–3 dried red chili peppers (adjust to taste)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Whisk together flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Dip each chicken piece in the beaten eggs then coat with the flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry chicken until golden brown (about 5-7 minutes per side). Drain on paper towels.
- In another pan, sauté ginger and garlic until fragrant. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, and chili peppers; simmer until slightly thickened.
- Toss cooked chicken in the sauce until well-coated. Serve garnished with green onions.

- For extra crunch, consider adding chopped cashews or bell peppers for a colorful twist.
