  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup spinach or broccoli florets (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Season chicken breasts with salt and black pepper, then place in a baking dish.
  2. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente; reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  4. Pour in heavy cream, stirring continuously. Gradually whisk in parmesan cheese until smooth.
  5. Add cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing gently. If too thick, incorporate reserved pasta water until desired consistency is achieved.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with additional parmesan and black pepper.
