Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger (grated)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 green onions (chopped, for garnish)
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil until the sugar dissolves.
- Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour half of the marinade over them. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat. Cook salmon fillets skin-side down (if applicable) for 4-5 minutes until they easily release from the pan.
- Flip the salmon and pour the remaining marinade over the fish. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- For a unique twist, substitute honey with maple syrup or add more garlic for extra flavor.
- Pair with steamed vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
