Description

Teriyaki Salmon is a quick and flavorful dish that combines tender salmon fillets with a sweet and savory glaze, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger (grated)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 green onions (chopped, for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour half of the marinade over them. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat. Cook salmon fillets skin-side down (if applicable) for 4-5 minutes until they easily release from the pan.
  4. Flip the salmon and pour the remaining marinade over the fish. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • For a unique twist, substitute honey with maple syrup or add more garlic for extra flavor.
  •  Pair with steamed vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
