Description

Delight in the rich flavors of this honey garlic salmon recipe, featuring tender fillets glazed with a sweet-savory sauce—perfect for any weeknight dinner or special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 fresh salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients. Mince the garlic and measure out soy sauce and lemon juice.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and lemon juice until well combined.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
  4. Place salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet and cook undisturbed for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Flip the fillets and spoon the glaze over them. Cook for another 4-5 minutes until cooked through but still juicy.
  6. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds if desired. Serve alongside rice or steamed vegetables.

Notes

  • For added flavor, marinate the salmon in the honey-garlic mixture for 15 minutes before cooking.
  • Substitute trout or another firm fish if preferred.
