Description

Elevate your grilling with three delicious homemade BBQ sauces that blend sweet, smoky, and tangy flavors, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (or liquid aminos)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, honey, and mustard over medium heat. Stir until well blended.
  2. Add smoked paprika and garlic powder; let it simmer for about 10 minutes until slightly thickened.
  3. For the Sweet Heat variation, mix in cayenne pepper or chipotle powder to taste. For the Tangy Twist, replace some ketchup with tomato paste and add extra apple cider vinegar. Simmer as before.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool before transferring to jars. Refrigerate overnight for best flavor.

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust sweetness with different sweeteners like maple syrup or agave nectar.
  • Add fresh herbs or spices to customize your sauces further.
