Description

Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp is a delightful blend of sweet strawberries and tart rhubarb, crowned with a crunchy oat topping. This easy-to-make dessert is a summer favorite!

Ingredients

  • Fresh Strawberries
  • Rhubarb Stalks
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Brown Sugar
  • Quick Oats
  • All-Purpose Flour
  • Unsalted Butter
  • Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix sliced strawberries and chopped rhubarb with granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter until crumbly.
  4. Pour the fruit mixture into a greased baking dish and sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over it.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes until the top is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

  •  For added texture, consider mixing in chopped nuts like pecans or walnuts.
  •  If you’re out of fresh rhubarb, frozen may be used but could release extra moisture during baking.
