Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Place chicken breasts in a large resealable bag. Pour half of the marinade over the chicken and seal tightly. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best flavor.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F).
- Remove chicken from the marinade and discard excess liquid. Grill each breast for about 6-7 minutes per side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- In the last few minutes of grilling, brush remaining marinade onto chicken for extra flavor. Let rest before slicing.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider using fresh herbs like rosemary or basil.
- Substitute honey mustard for regular mustard in your marinade for a sweeter twist.
