Description

Cinnamon rolls with heavy cream are a heavenly delight, featuring soft, fluffy dough infused with rich flavors. Perfect for breakfast or dessert, these rolls will make every occasion special.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk until lukewarm. Combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a bowl; let sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Add the frothy mixture along with melted butter and eggs; mix until slightly sticky but manageable.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough into a greased bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm spot until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  5. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle (¼ inch thick). Spread softened butter over the surface, then sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar filling.
  6. Roll tightly from one edge, slice into equal pieces (12), and place them in a greased baking dish.
  7. Drizzle heavy cream over the unbaked rolls and bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. While warm, mix powdered sugar with vanilla extract and enough milk to create a glaze; drizzle over rolls before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider substituting cinnamon with nutmeg or adding nuts and raisins.
  • These rolls can be prepared ahead of time; refrigerate overnight and bake fresh in the morning.
