Description

Crispy sweet potato fries are a flavorful, healthier alternative to regular fries, offering a satisfying crunch and delicious taste that will please any crowd.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium sweet potatoes (about 500g)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Wash and peel the sweet potatoes; cut them into uniform sticks, about ½ inch thick.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato sticks with olive oil, sea salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper until evenly coated.
  4. Spread the seasoned sweet potatoes in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
  6. Allow cooling for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, soak the cut sweet potatoes in water for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
  •  Feel free to experiment with different spices or serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
