  • 8 oz fresh cremini or button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add fettuccine and cook until al dente according to package instructions.
  2. Sauté Garlic and Mushrooms: In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, then add sliced mushrooms. Cook until golden brown.
  3. Add Cream and Cheese: Pour in heavy cream and stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  4. Combine Pasta with Sauce: Drain cooked pasta (reserve some water) and toss it into the creamy sauce. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
  5. Season and Garnish: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Fold in chopped parsley before serving hot.
