Description
A comforting and flavorful dish that your family will adore. Perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1-2 minutes).
- Place seasoned chicken in the skillet and cook until golden brown, approximately 5-7 minutes per side. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add heavy cream and chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the pan’s bottom. Stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.
- Return chicken to the pan, nestling it into the sauce, and let simmer for about 10 minutes until cooked through.
- Serve hot over pasta or steamed veggies, drizzling sauce generously over each portion.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider incorporating spinach or mushrooms into the sauce during cooking.
- Use low-fat cream or Greek yogurt for a lighter version without sacrificing taste.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days and reheat gently.
