- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 4 large eggs (room temperature)

- 1 cup heavy whipping cream

- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, combine water and butter over medium heat until melted. Remove from heat and stir in flour until smooth.
- Let cool slightly, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Pipe small mounds of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them two inches apart.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until puffed and golden brown. Avoid opening the oven during baking.
- While cooling, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form. In another bowl, whisk sugar and cornstarch, then gradually add milk over low heat until thickened.
- Mix in vanilla extract and fold in whipped cream gently.
- Cut cooled puffs horizontally and fill with pastry cream. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
