Description

Chicken Tikka Masala is a creamy, spiced delight that brings warmth and rich flavors to your table, making it a must-try comfort food for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (600g)
  • 1 cup plain whole milk yogurt
  • 2 tbsp garlic and ginger paste
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tsp ground coriander
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1 cup coconut milk or heavy cream
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, garlic and ginger paste, cumin, coriander, and garam masala. Coat chicken pieces with the marinade and let sit for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add marinated chicken in batches, cooking until browned on all sides (about 5 minutes). Remove from pan.
  3. In the same pan, add more garlic and ginger paste and tomato puree. Simmer for about 10 minutes until thickened.
  4. Stir in coconut milk or heavy cream and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Return chicken to the pan and cook until fully cooked through (about 10 minutes). Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.

Notes

  • For enhanced flavor, marinate the chicken overnight.
  •  Feel free to substitute chicken with paneer or chickpeas for a vegetarian version.
  •  Adjust spice levels by reducing chili powder for a milder dish.
