Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 lb boneless chicken thighs, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 3 green onions, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 tsp whole peppercorns
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour and water until you form a smooth dough. Knead for about 5 minutes until elastic. Let it rest under a damp cloth for 30 minutes.
- Combine chopped chicken thighs, ginger, green onions, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a bowl; mix until well combined.
- Divide the rested dough into equal portions and roll each piece out thinly to about 1/8 inch thick.
- Place one tablespoon of filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold over to create half-moons and seal edges tightly.
- Bring the chicken broth to a gentle boil. Drop in dumplings and cook until they float (about 5-7 minutes).
Notes
- Customize fillings by adding vegetables like peas or carrots for extra nutrition.
- Store leftover dumplings in an airtight container for up to three days; reheat gently in broth.
