Description
Chicken Alfredo is a creamy, comforting dish that transforms any dinner into a delightful experience. Quick to prepare and packed with flavor, it’s perfect for family meals or special occasions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then cook for about 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing into strips.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Be cautious not to burn it.
- Pour in the heavy cream while stirring continuously. Gradually add Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Combine sliced chicken and cooked fettuccine with the sauce in the skillet over low heat, ensuring all pasta is well coated.
- Serve topped with additional Parmesan cheese and freshly chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
- For added nutrition, consider including steamed broccoli or spinach.
- You can substitute fettuccine with penne or zoodles for a lighter option.
- To retain creaminess when reheating leftovers, add a splash of milk.
