Description
Cheeseburger egg rolls offer a fun twist on a classic favorite, combining crispy wrappers with savory beef and gooey cheese for a delicious snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 12 egg roll wrappers
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- ½ cup dill pickles, finely chopped
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until browned (5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat.
- Stir in ketchup and shredded cheese until melted; allow to cool slightly.
- Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner facing you. Add about 2 tablespoons of the beef mixture to the center.
- Fold the bottom corner over the filling, tuck in the sides, and roll tightly to seal. Use water to moisten edges if needed.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry each egg roll until golden brown on all sides (about 3-4 minutes per side). Drain on paper towels before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider seasoning the beef with garlic powder or your favorite spices.
- You can substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
- Serve with ketchup or zesty ranch dressing for dipping.
