  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Optional: 1/2 cup nuts or dried fruits

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together whole wheat flour, bran flakes, baking powder, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and vegetable oil until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture and stir until just combined. If desired, fold in nuts or dried fruits.
  5. Line a muffin tin with paper liners and fill each cup two-thirds full with batter.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
