Description

Beef and broccoli stir fry is a quick, flavorful dish that brings together tender beef and vibrant broccoli in a savory sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef by combining soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch in a bowl. Add the beef and let it sit for 15 minutes.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add vegetable oil and sauté the broccoli for 3-4 minutes until bright green.
  3. Push the broccoli aside and add the marinated beef to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned on all sides.
  4. Pour any remaining marinade into the skillet and stir everything together for an additional 2 minutes to thicken.
  5. Serve hot garnished with green onions over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For added variety, swap broccoli with snow peas or bell peppers.
  • Ensure your beef is sliced against the grain for tenderness.
